Home Boarding
We firmly believe that every dog deserves loving care, and that's why we treat every dog with the same care as we would our own, in our home, no kennels! We are based in the picturesque countryside of Scarisbrick, making the most our the beautiful surrounding countryside for long walks and enriching experiences.
We currently offer our home boarding service to small/medium sized dogs only, with a good temperament and good house manners.
£40 per dog, per night.
Our Location
Your dog will enjoy the enrichment of fantastic countryside walks, peace, quiet and tranquility.
Located in the heart of Scarisbrick, surrounded by countryside, as well as local nature reserves and beaches, Happy Hounds enjoys a location enjoying peace and tranquillity in a idyllic setting.
Our home can provide spacious accommodation for your dog to stay, relaxed and cosy and we have a large garden for them to enjoy playtime and enrichment. Your dog will also get their own room to sleep in at night, giving them a feeling of safety and security.
Our boarding service is limited to 2 dogs at a time currently, making it perfect if your dog is a little nervous or overwhelmed in big packs or is of more senior years!
Putting All Dogs' Needs First
We have two senior dogs of our own - Honey the Labrador and Kiki the Beagle, who we affectionately refer to as the Golden Girls!
For us the welfare of all dogs in our care is of the utmost importance, whether our own or our guests, so due to the elderly nature of our dogs, we respectfully have some criteria for our home boarding guests.
- At this time, we can board small to medium sized dogs only.
- Dogs must be of a good temperament and have good house manners.
- We are currently not able to board overly boisterous dogs.
- Fun and friendly dogs welcome!
- We limit our boarding service to just 2 dogs at a time, making it ideal for any guests who may be a little nervous or overwhelmed in a big pack or is of more mature years!
Meet & Greet Appointments and Trial Nights
To ensure the safety and happiness of all our members, we offer a meet and greet appointment at our home, to meet you and your pup, so you can take a look at our home and agree a care plan and confirm all the necessary arrangements. A meet & greet appointment is free of charge.
For boarding, a trial night is also required as part of our licensing and to ensure your dog settles well into their home away from home, before any longer periods of boarding.
A trial night is a one-off cost of £40.
